The Pachlopnik
Lab.

At the Intersection of Bench and Bedside

Through our close connection to the clinic of the Children's Hospital Zurich, we are at the forefront of pediatric immunology, and at the intersection between clinic and research.

Our lab members have diverse backgrounds ranging from immunology, medicine, bioinformatics, genomics, system's biology, neurology, oncology, and pharmaceutical science. With our multi-disciplinary approach, we aim at combining these different fields from patients and phenotypes, to pathways and mechanism, all the way to genomics and mutations.

Through our connection to infrastructure at the Children's Hospital Zurich, University of Zurich, and ETH we have access to a wide range of state-of-the-art equipment.

High-Quality Research in a Collaborative Environment

In our lab, we encourage our members to benefit from the diverse backgrounds of everyone, and grow with each other. As a team discuss and bounce ideas off each other in a collective effort to advance our research projects. We think that harnessing our collective strengths and collaborating closely forges new pathways for pioneering research.

Working Close to Where the Heart is

Our hearts beat for both science and for the patients lives in the hospital. We believe that as a lab at the Children's Hospital Zurich, we are at a unique spot with ample opportunity to do cutting-edge science, while staying close to a key reason of pursuing innovation in science - the treatment and care of patients where current scientific knowledge falls short.
