CYTOTOXICITY AND CYTOKINES

CYTOTOXICITY ENHANCED BY CYTOKINE COMPLEXES

NK cells and Cytotoxic T Lymphocytes are able to kill infected and tumor cells thanks to therelease of toxic molecules or through death receptors. When the first killing method is lost, the immune system overreacts to infections, generating potentially life-threatening diseases that occur in the first few years of life.

We aim to use cytokine complexes to control and increase the secondary killing methods and ameliorate the disease phenotype. Specifically, we study the effects of Interleukin complexes on animal models with cytotoxicity dysfunctions and patient samples.
