Samantha Milanesi
 

POST-DOC

Samantha was born in Milan, Italy. She has a Master’s degree in “Medical Biotechnology and Molecular Medicine” from the University of Milan and a PhD in “Clinical and Experimental Medicine” from the University of Genova. After her PhD she moved to Milan for two years and gained valuable knowledge in the field of Leukocyte Biology as a Postdoc at Humanitas Research Center in the Lab of Prof. Massimo Locati.

 

Samantha joined the Pachlopnik Lab as a Postdoc in April 2021 and is currently working on the study of the molecular mechanisms of CD48 as an important player in the physiological immune response. The goal of her research is to understand how CD48, or the lack thereof, affects T cell biology.
